August 31, 2022: Pembrokeshire, Wales. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path gave us dramatic sea cliffs, lush pastures, sandy beaches, lily ponds. And as this is Britain, of course, a fine pub!

The Floating Stones

September 1, 2022: Pembrokeshire, South Wales. The Floating Stones… as we surveyed them, the megaliths seemed to float over the green earth, sea and sky viewed beneath.

Conwy Mountain Run

September 8, 2022: Conwy, Wales. The morning rain had passed, and blue skies began to peek through the clouds. Conwy Mountain was calling; time for a run!

Thames Run

Aug 16, 2022: London, England. Tourists were already swarming Southbank as I started my morning Thames Run; I felt like a half-back, trying to hit a gap in the line just to gain a few yards.

Tour de France

July 09, 2022: Lausanne. After 186km in the mountains, Tour de France Stage 8 climaxed at Lausanne with a dramatic sprint to the finish. Wout van Aert surges for the win!

Konoba Miller

Aug 12, 2022: Bol, Croatia. Friends were visiting Bol and they “What is the best restaurant in Bol?” The answer, of course, is Konoba Miller – our patio!

Lac Blanc

June 21, 2022: Chamonix. A few years ago, my indominable friend Kevin hiked the entire Tour du Mont Blanc, all 105 miles. Inspired but less ambitious, we chose the modest Lac Blanc section.

Mer de Glace

June 20, 2022: Chamonix. Today we hike the Balcon Nord to Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), where the glacier grinds down the north face of Mont Blanc.

Mont Blanc

June 19, 2022: Chamonix. The glaciers of Mont Blanc blaze white as they reach through the clouds. Chamonix waits at its foot, giving rest to adventurers.
