Jean and I love trying new food in our adventures. Learn about regional cuisine and you often learn about the history, culture, and values of a people. And you get to eat well, all under the guise of learning! So as we travel, we try new foods, cook, and savor.
As the Chief Taste Tester for Confident in the Kitchen, I feel uniquely qualified to comment on our food adventures and make recommendations. My favorites to date include Barcelona (paella), Stonington Maine (lobster), Tuscany (focaccia and pasta), and Tulum Mexico (the hottest food I have ever had… pure habanero juice!)
Fortunately for you my dear reader, Jean is the author of Confident in the Kitchen, and the Chief Chef. As she’s far more qualified, I will leave the food commentary to her (well, mostly I will). Follow this link or the image below to see our Food Adventures, a blog hosted on her site.
On Jean’s website you can also find recipes derived from our Journeys, and all you need to know about what to do, what you need, and why so you can be confident in the kitchen too. You can get a copy of her book on Amazon.
Highlights of our food adventures are below. Each includes links to the full write-up on Confident in the Kitchen!
