Zagreb Quirky Museums

June 20, Day 2: Zagreb has some quirky museums. Yes, the Museum of Hangovers really exists! The tiny shop highlights entertaining stories and artifacts from poor decisions around the world

June 21, Day 3: Time to explore Zagreb by running Bundek City Park! As a runner, the route beckoned; a string of green spaces leading to the Liberty Bridge over the Sava River. Just beyond, 135 acres of green laced with curving trails.

Zagreb Saturday Night

June 22, Day 4: Zagreb: it just sounds exotic, doesn’t it? This is where “From Russia with Love”, the second Bond movie, was filmed. We saw no lurking assassins, but then one never does… At any rate we had a wonderful Zagreb Saturday Night.

Croatia

June 2021 Croatia – To be frank, I didn’t know much about Croatia at all a few months ago. Then my sister-in-law, Allie, mentioned Hvar, one thing led to another, and now we are going for an entire month! We arrived one week ago. Wow.

Running Around the World

Running Around the World: I love to run through new cities as we travel, exploring and getting the lay of each place. Typically, I track my route map on the Nike Run app and take photos to save the memories as I “collect” runs from new places. I share my favorite runs from around the world here!

Bombingham

June 3, Day 3: Birmingham earned the nickname “Bombingham.” Between 1947 and 1965, more than 50 dynamite bombs devastated black homes and churches to suppress desegregation efforts in Birmingham.

June 4, Day 4: It’s mid-morning and time for Porsche Track Experience Part 2: The Big Track. After practicing fundamentals early in the morning, I am ready to barrel down straights, squeal through corners, and fly over hills lapping the Barber track.

Porsche Driving School

June 2, Day 2: I arrive at the Porsche Driving School 30 minutes early. I want to review the track before threading someone else’s $100k Porsche through the tight curves that morning. A lone instructor is lapping in the cool morning air at the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta. This is going to be a very good day!
