Julie the Minor

August 23, 2022: Dorking, England. We were just leaving Dorking when we met Julie, the Minor, as she was leaving for France. And fine old gal she was!

Dorking

August 22, 2022: Surry Hills, England. Dorking was not what you’d expect. Just outside London, it had vineyards, pastures, park and pond. And no chickens.

Pembrokeshire

August 31, 2022: Pembrokeshire, Wales. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path gave us dramatic sea cliffs, lush pastures, sandy beaches, lily ponds. And as this is Britain, of course, a fine pub!

Worcestershire

August 28, 2022: Worcester, England. Growing up, I had never heard the word “Worcestershire” without it being followed by “sauce.” There is so much more to know!

The Floating Stones

September 1, 2022: Pembrokeshire, South Wales. The Floating Stones… as we surveyed them, the megaliths seemed to float over the green earth, sea and sky viewed beneath.

Conwy Mountain Run

September 8, 2022: Conwy, Wales. The morning rain had passed, and blue skies began to peek through the clouds. Conwy Mountain was calling; time for a run!

Thames Run

Aug 16, 2022: London, England. Tourists were already swarming Southbank as I started my morning Thames Run; I felt like a half-back, trying to hit a gap in the line just to gain a few yards.

The British Trip (Summary)

October 23, 2022: Charlotte. Whew – the British Trip was amazing! History and hiking, savory pies and pints for 75 days of autumn through England, Wales, and Scotland.
