Hong Kong Street Food

Hong Kong, July 2015: Mark and I drag our jetlagged bodies to the front desk of our hotel seeking information about Hong Kong street food. A lovely, petite young woman greets us. As is typical for us, we start the conversation with “So… what is your favorite place to eat with family and friends?”

So begins Jean’s latest Food Adventure on Confident in the Kitchen.  It takes us through sketchy zones to a fantastic noodle shop, and then a Hong Kong night market. We were living in Sydney, Australia, and went to HK to visit friends for the weekend. After all, it was close… only a 9-hour flight! Our weekend was great, friends, the world’s highest bar (Ozone), a party on a Chinese Junk, a giant Buddha, a sweaty city run, a night market, and of course great Hong Kong street food.
